Sponsorship

Here we will show our commitment to supporting local sports clubs, and events.

Holy Trinity Recreation Ground

Darren Rigby is now a committee member of the registered charity ‘Holy Trinity Recreation Ground Ltd’, a charitable organisation which, since 1924 has been providing sporting facilities for football, tennis and cricket at the Rookery on Roe Lane in Southport.

He is at the moment trying to raise monies on behalf of the Southport Trinity AFC to procure the installation of a very much needed shower and toilet room refurbishment, but his long term aim is to help the committee continue to provide the funding necessary to keep the facility available for young sports people of all ages.

On another note, Darren is now fully engaged in actively seeking sponsorship from other businesses to display advertisment signboards around the perimeter walls of the grounds, and to set a precedence he has already undertaken the installation of a couple of boards from the RIGBY Group of companies.

Southport Trinity Cricket Club

This season Rigby Electrical have sponsored a local childrens under 13’s cricket team, Southport Trinity. The sponsorship deal will last for the next 2 years.

Rovers Return Football Team

The staff of the RIGBY Group have organised, sponsored and played in a local 5 a-side competition hosted by Football Mundial League. The team sponsored were called ‘Rovers Return’, and managed by our very own Martin Oakley, the team had a very successful season playing 21 games and winning their respective league.

Pictured below is the teams first trophy, lets hope there is more to follow.

Ekwaso Project, Ghana

Linaker Street Junior School and the Rigby Group have had a long standing relationship together which originated when we were engaged by the school, and the then said Sefton Council, into undertaking a large scale major works project of installing a ‘Childrens Centre’ to a section of the existing school.

The school and the RIGBY Group then became friends, and when an initiative was proposed by the school to build a school house in Africa, Martin Oakley the company MD was at hand to play a major part in helping design and help with the logistics of getting tools, plant, equipment and materials to an isolated part of Ghana. That was only part of the story, it is true to be said that his help in fundraising to ‘make it happen’ was outstanding, and the whole event would have been seriously jeopardised without his input in this department.
