RIGBY Constructed have recently been contracted to work for Interserve FM, carrying out work on government agency buildings throughout the country.

A recent project at Westgate Hostel in Wakefield was completed prior to a visit from Princess Anne who toured the Westgate project for young offenders.

King’s Meadow Primary School

Work at Kings Meadow Primary School is well underway. The job contract involves the construction of a new ‘Sure Start’ room as an extention to the existing school building.

Quebicle Website Launch

Quebicle are now leading the way in the design and installation of themed toilets for schools, nurseries and colleges. We have a unique approach to washroom design, allowing schools to actively involve their pupils in the conceptual design stage of each project. Our design team works closely with the pupils to bring their ideas to life, creating washroom facilities that are welcoming, hygienic, safe to use and directly tailored to the needs of the pupils using them. Pupils develop a sense of pride and ownership over these facilities which encourages them to look after and respect them.

In addition to this we are committed to installing school toilet facilities which reach the optimum standards for practical use, hygiene and health and safety. RIGBY construction have won a contract at Our Lady of Walsingham Catholic Primary School. The contract involves extension to the school entrance and internal alterations and refurbishment.

St Gabriel’s CE Primary School

RIGBY construction has recently secured a contract to undertake work at St Gabriel’s CE Primary School. The project comprises the alteration and refurbishment of 4 classrooms and toilets as part of a major school regeneration project.

John Moores University

A 14 week contract at John Moores University ‘Henry Cotton’ building is now underway. The contract involves remodelling of the building including the post graduate area and creation of new testing laboratories.

This is the first major contract RIGBY construction have had in conjunction with Liverpool John Moores University which represents a significant progression of the company into new areas of construction within the education sector.

November 11th – Grand Opening of Themed WC at Bedford Primary School

November 11th 2009 will herald the grand opening of 7 ‘themed’ toilet/washrooms that have been designed and developed as a joint venture between Bedford Primary School staff and pupils from the school council, and ‘Quebicle Themed Washrooms’ who are part of the RIGBY Group. The following people and companies are expected to attend the grand opening of what can only be described as a unique concept in childrens toilets -

The refurbishment can only described as an inovation for childrens toilets, and will hopefully set a precedent for minimum standards for all to adhere to and see.

Bedford Primary School – ‘completion of refurb incorporating new concept in wc design’

The summer term has heralded the completion of a long term project of a wc refurbishment at Bedford Primary School, that has seen the total re-design and refurbishment of 7 seperate toilet blocks and a disabled facility that is the only one of its kind.

Working in conjunction with the school council, RIGBY Construction have developed a new design concept and delivered what is going to be the blueprint for future refurbishments in childrens toilets. The outcome has been a great success for both ourselves and the school, who now have user friendly, low maintenance and more environmentally friendly toilet facilities. We will be posting some pictures of the facilities in the very near future.

Waterloo Judo Club – (in association with Sport’s England & Capita Symonds)

Waterloo Judo Club built in conjucnction with RIGBY Construction, Capita Symonds & Sport’s England was finally opened to the general public in February 2009.

It comprises a ’state of the art’ judo club encompassing all the facilities required to take judo into the 21st century.

We have posted some pictures of the completed construction which may emphasize the hardship in constructing such a large structural facility, which encompasses 90% of the size of the actual site.

We at RIGBY head office would like to thank all of the people involved in this project. Logistically the construction and delivery became an enormous team effort by all parties concerened.

Working Safe at Height with TRAD

The Rigby Group are committed to ensuring that our employees or contractors working on any of our construction sites are safe whilst working at height. We have now partnered with TRAD Safety Systems Ltd. who supply a compact, durable deck that is the top fall-prevention solution recommended by the Health & Safety Executive. TRAD have also trained several of our employees to install and certify the system meaning that installation and dismantling is quick and simple.

What really sets apart the TRAD Safety Deck is that it can be used for any project or room size. The system includes multiple panel sizes, so it can be adapted to any shape or size profile.
